Loves! Again.....

These past few weeks have been so busy! I am all finished exams and school for a few weeks and I am so relieved. I can't wait to be lazy and get some sleep! To celebrate our completion of the first half of our third year of the Information Design program at MRU we went down town to the Ship & Anchor for some lunch and drinks and then strolled down 17th ave. and did some Christmas shopping!

I picked up this tea towel at Steeling Home, by Anna Maria, but I love it so much I might just frame it.

and I also picked up this Designers Notebook from Reids! I love it! It has a bunch of references in the back like typeface sizes, tracing papers, common paper sizes, pretty much anything a designer could use! It also has the small grid dots that don't scan if you scan the pages into Illustrator! So awesome!

I don't have these yet.... but I still want them all! All from Anthropologie!

Yayyyy!!

I love getting presents in the mail!! I recieved my order from Vamoose last night and I was thrilled!! They have so many awesome pieces that are great for layering and so affordable!

I am wearing this black one today!

I think this one is next on the list for purchase. It is so pretty and shiny!

Winter is officially here! And freezing! To keep warm I really want these big socks from Spotted Moth. They would look great with a pair of slouchy boots. Joe Fresh (my love) also released their holiday line, including this set of nail polishes for a reasonable $10 for all 3! I think the gold or purple nail polish would compliment this gold fish spine necklace, also from Spotted Moth. I am a terrible blogger and forgot where this shirt is from but I couldn't resist posting it anyways, it is so romantic and soft, perfect for winter. I hope everyone stays warm this week!

p.s the background image is Crate & Barrel's new holiday wrapping paper! Enjoy!

Christmas

Sooooo Christmas party time is approaching and I have been working on my outfit for party time!! I can't wait! For work we are going to Rush in Calgary, no not the band the restaurant and this outfit will be perfect! I was thinking of wearing a high waisted skirt instead of the slim pants but I changed my mind. I will also add a crap load of gold jewelry that I love to make this outfit perfect for the holiday season!

Listening...

So I was thinking "Hmmmm... what have I been listening to lately?" Well a little bit of everything but my favs right now are....

The Black Keys... I am in love with these guys. So much awesomeness in 1 band. I reallyyyyyy want them to come to Calgary or anywhere semi close! Check them out here.

Kid Cudi! Pursuit of Happiness is a rad song! His voice is sooo unique and almost soothing. Check him out here!

Obviously, Steve Aoki. I am always listening to him and loving him! You can find info about Steve here. While your at it, take a gander at his remix of Kid Cudi's Pursuit of Happiness here.

Nicki Minaj. She is just so bad ass, how can you not love her? Her voice is harsh and raw but she just kills it. My favorite is her in Kayne's "Monster".

I love Radiohead! Whenever I am having problems creating something or I am stumped on a project I just throw on some Radiohead and all my problems are solved. I would kill to see them live!

The Big 6

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of attending Emma's 6th Birthday Party! The theme was Forest Fairy and my job, as Master Fairy, was to host the craft time! It was an awesome party and Kate (Emma's mother) did such a great job decorating and hosting! I posted some of Kate's pictures from the day and you can find more on her blog!

Beautiful center piece made by Kate!

Me and my gift to Emma (paintable rain boots)!

The outdoor photo booth!

Awesome buffet set up! Cupcakes courtesy of Pretty Sweet!

Loves! Again.....

I am totally in a shopping mood today! I spent the majority of this weekend doing what I do best, spending money! I am in love with Kate Spade and Marc Jacobs lately, so I have decided to include some of my favorite things by them (and I few others)!

These cards from Kate Spade are awesome. I love the envelopes.

This necklace by Spotted Moth is perfect. Great for layering and is affordable!

Mmmmm Marc Jacobs, I swear you design for me. I love everything Marc Jacobs and Christmas is coming (hint hint).

I got this perfume in the summer and I am almost finished it. There are a few others in this line and I can't wait to try them all!

I love this mint green color by Kate Spade! So springy and fresh!

Marc Jacobs sunglasses!! So awesome and affordable! I went down to holt to buy these but they didn't have them! I guess I will have to order them online!

Movember!

So it is November. November must be the most boring month in the whollleeee year (minus February). A few years ago November became much more interesting when Movember came to be! Movember was created to bring awareness to prostate cancer, last year they raise 7.8 million dollars for Prostate Cancer Canada! That is insane! So boys start forming the best mustache of your life for Movember!!! If you would like to donate visit the Movember official site!

I have decided to share a few of my favorite mustaches with you!

and also my favorite mustache accessories!

These books by Scott Fitzgerald are amazing. The covers were designed by CB-Smith. They flow so nicely together and will look amazing on my bookshelf (after I read them of course). I can't wait to get mine in the mail!

I love these pieces by local artist and shop Rabbit Boutique. All of the pieces are handmade and created out of found objects such as moose teeth, deer ankle bones, and other textiles.
