Traffic Signal Boxes {Calgary}

So there is this girl, Cassandra Paul, who is a friend of a friend and I think she is just awesome. Anyways, she was asked to paint some Traffic Signal Boxes around Calgary as a way to stop vandalism. These are her boxes!

Shelves

So I like the look of a good shelf. One covered with awesome books and little trinkets. I found this website It's A Nice: Bookshelf. Check it out. Some of my favorites below!

Summer Wrap Up

I think it is officially the end of summer. In Calgary today it is a balmy 5 degrees and rain. Though I usually love this type of weather but today it is making me sad that summer is over.

Here are some highlights of my summer after my trip!

This pretty much sums it up...

Home!

So I have been home for almost 2 weeks now and it is depressing. I am ready to leave again. I will never know if I will have the opportunity to leave for three months again... I hope I do. Here are some shots from the trip!

I will post more once I actually get a chance to go through all my pictures! All of these were taken by Kelsey McColgan.

Nom Nom

Best omlette in the world:

1 medium egg
Cilantro
Onion
Garlic
Cheddar cheese

On top of multigrain toast. Perfect. This has become a staple in my diet here in Barcelona.

Barca!

I have been in Barcelona for 2 whole weeks now and I am having a blast!

A few things I have done:

- experienced a city in a whole new way (staying put for longer then 5 nights)
- experienced living with 3 people
- experienced grocery shopping in the insane shops here
- started to learn Spanish (a lot harder then I thought it would be)
- learned that blogs with no pictures suck! (sorry friends)
- learned that absence makes the heart grow fonder (not even in a sappy way)
- experienced a European football game! Go Barca!
- met new friends from all over the world
- missed my bestie and sister more then anything!
- experienced an insane music festival with great friends

I have 8 more weeks left in Europe! 4 of those in Barca! I hope to experience so much more!

Photos to come soon!

Update

It has been so long! I haven't had a chance to update this whole trip. The trip has been fantastic. Great times with great people. Some of the things I have done already are:

- drank a bottle of cheap wine at the base of the Effile Tower
- visited all of the typical sites in Paris
- met some close friends half qay around the world for dinner at Mama Shelter
- visited a country that none of use had been to before (Portugal)
- saw penguins! And a dead rat. For the first time
- drove in Europe (which I have vowed to never do again)
- brushed up on my driving standard skills
- felt the feeling of homesickness for the first time
- was in 3 countries in one day
- learned that if you pay more than 2 euros for a bottle of wine you are getting ripped off

And a whole lot more but no time to write! I also have no photos because I can't upload them yet! I will find a way soon!
