Christmas Party Fun

So last night was my Christmas party at my second job at the Glenmore Inn. Since we are a hotel we always have our Christmas party in January because we just don't have time during the regular season! I also went snowboarding! It was awesome!

So over these holidays I was able to go to some of my favorite places to eat and drink. I was so excited to catch up with friends and eat good food that I forgot to relax! Oh well relaxing is for when you are dead right?

So anyways over the holidays I have kind of created my list 5 favorite places to eat in Calgary! Enjoy!

5. Diner Deluxe 
I love this place. It has the 50's vibe of an actual diner and the food is fantastic!

4. Rush

Working at Impact Group is great. I get treated well and I really enjoy my work. One of the bonuses of working there was the Christmas party. Since we are a small company (only 6 of us) we could vote on where we wanted to go for our party. Rush won the vote! We went on a Monday, so the resurtant wasn't too busy. The food and drinks were amazing, but the company was even better!

3. Overeasy 

Ryan and I decided to go here for some breakfast and then off to shop for the day. I had a fennel & chiorzo omlette and he had bennies. It was great. I love the atmosphere and the big long communial tables.

2. Lina's Italian Market

Lina's is one of my favorite places in Calgary. It is authentic Italian. They have amazing sandwiches and coffee and also has a full Italian market.

1. District

I was missing my friends faces. So I met them @ District. This place is just awesome. The pub like atmosphere with way better food. They don't believe in menus so you have to get off your tuff and walk around and look at the chalkboards that surround the room. I had a chicken club and yam fries. It was no ordinary chicken club. It had guacamole and sautéed onions! It was heaven. They also have build your own poutine. Anything you want thrown into a poutine. 

hmmmm interesting.....

Sooo I thought it was just me. Maybe I was getting cheap in my old age or maybe I began tracking my money more efficiently. But nope! The cost of university is going up! Start saving your dollas.
